save file from web

hi i'm implementing a webview into my app that displays a pdf i have in my project. however i decided to retrieve it from a server instead as it will be updated frequently and apple takes forever to approve apps. i have seen tutorials on how to get a file from a server (in my case a pdf) and display it on screen. however i would like to know if it is possible to save this file so the user doesnt have to redownload the file everytime they open the app.

yes, its possible.

You can use the NSFilemanager class to create files with NSData ( which would be the content you download from your server ).

You can also use it to check for files existence ( so you can check if you've already downloaded it before trying to redownload it again.)
