Default How to display incoming data on iPhone screen?

Hi there. I'm working on an iPhone app that displays incoming data from a server and displays it real-time on the screen.

I've got the retrieving data part down, what I'm having trouble with is making the text show up on the screen. I want it to look and work like the XCode Debugger Console and take up the lower half of the iPhone screen.

How would I go about doing this, and should I use a UIScrollView?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm trying to work with a scroll view now - would I be able to extend the UIScrollView and add more labels to the bottom while the app is running?

You could certainly do what you are asking. I would consider a UITableView if I were you. Manually managing a scroll view means you have to decide when to throw away the contents at the top and load contents at the bottom yourself, and vice versa when scrolling up, to save memory. UITableView handles all that for you.

Thanks for the response. I set up a UITextView, which automatically scrolls up when you add text to the top.
