UITableView Selection Count

I am working on an application for my organization where a UITableView is presented, containing the email addresses of various people. When a row is selected, the email address is added to an NSMutableArray. I would like to have a UILabel in a UIToolbar at the bottom displaying the number of people selected. How would I go about doing this?

Ah, so this should have been a "can anybody spot what is wrong with this code" question. That was not clear from the OP.
