Telnet and traceroute

i need to develop telnet and traceroute for iphone. I am a beginner can some one please help me with some sample codes or provide me some pointers ?

These are both part of inetutils. You can grab the source from here: Index of /gnu/inetutils

Since they are both allready part of OSX it shouldn't take much work at all to get them up and running on the iPhone.
