iPad distorts image after a zoom out
I'm using full-screen hi-res images in my iPad app. When my image first loads it looks clear. When I pinch zoom in, it retains clarity. When I zoom out, the image becomes very slightly distorted (fine striped lines appear slightly checkered). It seems to me that a zoom out (even with a double tap) doesn't restore the original image exactly.
When the view controller is released and reloaded, it displays fine again. I've noticed the EXACT same problem happens outside of the app when I browse the photo album. Seems like it could be an iPad issue... any possible solutions? Refreshing the image after every zoom doesn't seem realistic.
