Default suitable Mac for IPhone dev with Opengl?

Hallo,

i want to start with iphone development and i am not sure which mac to buy as development platform. Since I dont have an iphone, ipod, ipad i first want to work with the emulator and later buy one of these devices.

A simple macbook or mac mini will fit i think but does that also count for graphics application with opengles?

I mean will the iphone emulator run flawless?

Both macs have a GeForce 9400M with shared memory.
Core 2 Duo @ 2.26
2GB Ram

I would be thankful for any advice you can give

Greetings

Tarjan

You're developing for a platform that is like 10x less powerful than that. Any mac can develop for the iPhone. I do everything on my MacBook (original unibody Macbook) because I can take it anywhere.

The most strenuous openGL applications for an iPhone are nothing for a real mac.

Thank you for the reply.

Maybe the mac is 10x more powerfull. But i was aiming for the emulator, which probably doesn't run native and has several abstraction/emulation layers slowing down the total running speed of the emulated app.

So will that be okay for opengl apps?
