UISearchBar Slide Up with Navigation Bar

Hi,

I am using IB for this view, which has a nav bar at the top, with a search bar directly below it. My problem is that whenever I activate the search bar field, the search bar slides up so that half of it is underneath the status bar at the top. It doesn't matter whether there are scope fields or not. I want the slide up action, but how do I get it to not slide up so much? Is there some way to control this or do I need to do my search bar some other way? Thanks,
