Too bad it was the day before the last day of the Tour de France 2009 which it was written too.. Knew it would be cutting it.. but wow things are slow.. iTunes Store
Anyone else experiencing some goofiness with submissions? Uploading the correct size screenshots but a few keep saying they are not the right size..
I submitted mine on the 8th, updated the binary to add a couple things on the 11th, and got approved on the 25th. I didn't realize it was going to reset my wait time when I changed the binary until they told me. It was my first app so it's a learning experience.
I'm already over 100 sales according to pinchmedia, which exceeds my wildest expectations! I kept telling myself I'd be happy with $100.
My sypmathies go out to those who have been waiting and waiting and waiting. One thing I noticed, just a thought, I have like 20 in review and updates waiting in line. I have a buddy who has like 4. Mine seem to be approved faster then his. His have been taking months. Mine-1 week to 2 weeks. But I since I have slowed in submission it is taking longer.
From my latest experiences, it seems that the updates are taking about a week or less. New apps are taking on average around 2 weeks. Thats data for a couple of my apps, and some friends as well....

That has been my experience with a number of apps as well. That is until things change, and we get another June.
I don't think that Apple actually make that much money on apps, so it isn't obvious that they should use that many resources to approve them. I find it frustrating, but I can understand there position.
Submitted my first app on the 17th. Rejected today. I really hate this process. Now I have to wait another 2 weeks or so just to fix some tiny little problem. Its very annoying.

Yea, it is really annoying when your app was already out for months. Then you make an update and they reject it due to the ranking not being proper for users. Why can't they use that judgment and make the change? It would help Apple get more money. I don't see the problem there.
Submitted an update on the July 22nd, approved July 27th. Category is Games
The speed kind of surprised me since I was assuming at least 10 days with it being in the games category which seems to be the slowest. Now I have to hurry up and active the updates to my website.

You don't see a problem with someone else ranking you app? Are you mad. So what if they set all your apps to the highest rating, including that game you wrote for 4yo? You would not see that as a problem?

Within reason obviously. Within reason. Oh wait, never mind the approvers suck! So maybe that wouldn't work. LOL
Your application is requiring unexpected additional time for review. We apologize for the delay, and will update you with further status as soon as we are able.
I submitted two apps on 13th of July. The first one was accepted on 23rd, but second one is still in review. First app is free, and it already got into Top 10 in German store. The second one, which is a game and should bring in some money, is still in review.

I would call this the App Store Sausage Maker Hypothesis: Submitting more apps will help to shove the rest through the pipeline.

But you need to remember there are those stupid travel apps that drop like 40 at a time. Unless they set the date for release the Sausage Maker may be right.
I'm not real familiar with Scoreloop, but on the screen where you click "Submit Score" can you put some text in there warning the user they are uploading their score to a public server or something like that? Maybe they just want you to have the warning where the user is actually clicking the submit button.
It's been a while and I forgot to update everyone on this.
I resubmitted the same zip and it was approved within a week.
Submitted on July 22th, Apple tested it today, just checked my database. Hope it will be approved soon.
