Ah right. Thanks.

We'll see how it goes so. To be honest I am expecting a mess. Its a shame really. before I joined the iPhone dev program I was full of praise for apple. I'd recommend products to friends etc.

Now I am entirely changed. My experience has been woeful.

We'll see how the payments go. I may eat my words. Hopefully.

Very coincidentally I also called and was on hold for about 20 min or so before I hung because my phone battery died. My hard work isn't getting the exposure it should through the device's app store, what a shame.

As you all know, I've been trying to find out why my contract and bank info is not going thru.

So I spent 20 min trying to get thru...had to go to a meeting.
Spent another 50 min on hold when FINALLY someone answered. Guess what? Apple does not have any phone support for contracts....nothing PERIOD.

If you hosed up your bank info or wonder why its taking so long GOOD LUCK, TS youre on your own. The 1800 number is no help.

The girl on the phone said she would create an escalation ticket, but basically, I'm SOL.

Android programming sounds so much better these days.....

I have had tickets escalated so many times with no resolution that I had to laugh when I read this. They have set a new precedence in competence. I don't know what it will take for them to get their act together, but in reality, they're probably raking in so much money overall they don't care about the problems a few people are having. I'll be happy if I ever get a response about my "escalated tickets" from last week.

Anyone care to chime in to add to a potential slashdot thread? I think that if this got a little exposure apple will be quick to make some changes.

Scott - Just so that you know it took me a couple of months to get my contract approved, in my case submitting an app did not speed up things noticably (since it took a couple of weeks after the app was approved for the contract to be approved). The thing that did happen though - just to make you aware of this so as it will not come as a shock - was that when the contract finally was approved and my app entered the appstore the release date was (and will be in your case as well) the earliest date (either date of approval or the date you selected as release) - and not the date the contract was approved. The contract approval date has nothing to do with these dates which means your app will make it's debut on the appstore buried several (if not dozens of) pages down. If I were you - I would hold of with submitting that third app...

Didn't know if you were aware of this so I thought I might mention it to you...

Nice!

Such a great day! Doesn't Apple make it seem so much brighter! </sarcasm>

Well, how about updates? I'll have an update to my games with online high scores and such....Should I just hold off until I get everything cleared so that I can get placed on top of the list???

anyway, I need to drink more or something.....and my windows PC keeps nagging me with a popup to restart.

I'm about ready to call it a day at 2:00.

Hold of with the update and do that when you got you contracts approved - That should get you back on the list... Allthough... Currently of course that is not working at all on the iPhone AppStore where everything is completely messed up... But I'm sure that by the time you're contract is approved and your update is coming out this will most likely (hopefully) have been resolved!

Just to keep the wait thread on topic here- I actually received a rejection last night for a stupid bug I introduced with a new preference setting at the last minute. It went unnoticed by me because it only affected fresh, new installs. My final few tests before packing up the binary on 3/11 were just overwrites of my current app file

They actually sent me crash logs and a description of how they reproduced it, but they weren't timely at all- the logs were over 24 hours old by the time they were e-mailed to me!

Anyway, stayed up really late last night and rolled my 1.3 and new 1.4 update work into one big update for Rogue Touch (including fixing that *%^$#& preference issue). So here I am again...

Does anyone know if they reject an update binary if you get any sort of preference when submitting the replacement? Or is it "back of the line, buddy!" for me

Back to the start of the line I'm afraid.

Made exactly the same error myself a while back.

Still, fair nuff. A bug's a bug.

Yeah I was afraid of that. I agree, I'm very glad they caught the bug though!

Can't imagine the mayhem if that stupid little mistake got out in the store. I'd be laden with 1 star reviews! Fortunately I was able to turn around and give them something with even more features than the previous submission in only about 8 hours... the Rogue Touch fans will rejoice next week I guess

Interestingly, I submitted my first App this month on the 15th. Put in my Paid Contract info the next day on the 16th. As of this afternon, my contract is ACTIVE. But, the App is still "In Review."

Weird that the contract took effect so soon?

Yeah, back to the end of line. I got declined twice, each time took 5 days to review again and get a email notice. That wait does suck, but I assume its sort of efficient so they don't get flooded with quick-fixes that maybe do not work. This will make people take the time to make sure its right.

But again, I complained the entire time, haha. Now I am complaining because my contract info is taking so long to approve!

Two uploads last Friday night - full application approved tonight and still waiting on update, which, according to how my updates have been approved lately, should be approved tonight (it's probably too late for tonight) or tomorrow unless there are icky problems (there shouldn't be).

FWIW, it took 4-5 days to review my app each time I submitted it. To the extent that i was driving down a highway in Mexico and looked over at the person next to me and said, "I bet my app just got approved". When I got to my destination and checked my e-mail, I had nailed it, almost to the minute.

Oh, and in case you're wondering, here it is:

The soup nazi! You just forced me to invoke Godwin's Law in this thread by mentioning his name! That was a really funny show...

Anyway I don't mind the back of the line for this update as long as it is 4 or 5 days as everyone's suggesting! It was the delayed rejection response that made me angry though... they knew about it for a while and didn't say anything! I could've had it fixed and back in the queue sooner

Submitted a new app March 9th, still waiting. I saw apple show up in my server analytics two days ago but nothing since. They usually approve a few hours after connecting...

OK folks...I am up and running.

I hope I am doing this right, I immediately updated my release date of my apps in waiting to today. So I dont see it yet on itunes but it should be there soon. I hope the codes work and post what you use! I'm looking forward to any feedback, please PM me with suggestions!

Thanks to everyone for all the help!
