Default provision profile cannot be played on ipod

I have sent an ad-hoc provisioning profile to a user to test my app - and they are following steps which I have done with other users before... only this time it's not working.

I have compiled the app with the right profile and have instructed them to drag the .app file and the mobileprovision file on to their itunes. When the user is syncing, they get the error message

"dist_profile was not copied to the ipod "ipod touch" because it cannot be played on this ipod"

I've never seen this before! Should the user be doing something else - ie: am I wrong in saying to drop the provision profile on to itunes??

(iphone SDK 3.1.3 is being used)

Thumbs up Did you get it to work?

Hi,

I am also having the same problem. I upgraded to SDK 3.1.3.
Did you get it to work?

If so, post your reply.

Thanks.

Default

I'm having this problem as well. The distribution works on another tester with an iPhone, but the one with an iPod Touch gets this message.

"my_profile.mobileprovisioning" was not copied to the iPod "G3" because it cannot be played on this iPod.
Has anyone found out what causes this? Any solutions?
