Arrow Button Swipe

I have a button created with Interface Builder that needs to respond to a "swipe" instead of a "press" all of the options given by IB require a press - I've tried them all and "Touch Down Inside" is closest to my needs but does not activate when I swipe over. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your response.

I have exactly the same problem and it would be great, if someone could tell us how to do this.

Could be that this cn be done programatically or by Cocoa Touch. I'll let you know if I figure this out.

This one comes close but sitll that you touch down on the button first and then swipe/drag. Tks for your comment - any more thoughts?

So i hope you'll figure it out, because I haven't any idea what to do that this works. But I'll also continue trying it and if I would have found a solution, I'll let you know

I understand I am raising the dead with this post, but I'm hoping by now someone has found a way to successfully do this. I'm a newbie developer, and would love to know how to accomplish this task, as it would make my app much more fluid.

Thanks for any light anyone is able to shed...
