Slow down UIPIckerView?

Briefly: It spins too fast for my purposes. Is there a way to slow it down?

I tried to meddle with

Code:

[UIPickerView setAnimationDuration:5.0];

But to no avail. I tried to call setAnimationDuration on my particular pickerview object but it had no such method.

Any ideas?

Sorry, I dont have any ideas, but I would say dont try to mess with it. Apple is sensitive if devs modify the default behaviour of the objects. Your app might be rejected.
