New pic2shop enables any app to scan barcodes FREE

The new pic2shop app provides a custom URL mechanism with callback that lets any app (or web app) use pic2shop as a barcode reader.

pic2shop is a free comparison shopping app, that first one (in April) capable of reading UPCs and EANs. The new version is at least as fast and accurate as any other paid or free app.

Now, any developer can barcode-enable their app without having to purchase a license. Because pic2shop is very lightweight and fast, the whole process (openURL+scan+openURL) takes only a few seconds.
