Default Problem Provisioning Development Device

Hello,

I am having a problem with a device that I have tried to provision as a development device-

The iPhone is running version 3.0 (7A341)
Message in xcode Organizer reads: xcode could not find the software image to install this version.

And below it just reads: could not support development.

I know the certificates have all been installed, and that this device has been used as a development device in the recent past.

Is it a matter of updating the iPhone OS through iTunes? ***And, will that undo a jailbreak on the iPhone?

Any advice would be much appreciated!!

Any updating of the OS will wipe a jailbreak, but 3.2.1 is jailbreakable.

Thank you! Can you tell me, where I should look for how to do the jailbreak after the update? (The iPhone is jailbroken, but I did not do it myself.) Also, does it matter that I'm using a 2G iPhone? Will I still be able to jailbreak it after the upgrade?

And no it doesn't. All you do is connect your device, download blackra1n and click the button. Simple.

That was really great! Jailbroke the phone in about 1 minute. Thank you! (Now, I'll make sure that was my only provisioning problem- nevertheless, really good to have a upgrade.)
