tab bar query

HI Guys,

I'm new to iphone application and im trying to put a tab bar controller on one of my views. however i want that tab bar not to appear on my first screen ..meaning first screen would have a button on it then when button is pressed it will direct me to a view which has a tab bar controller on it. any sample code or some tutorial that u can direct me on this problem?

i understand that u both show both xtab and xview and then remove xview once button is pressed.
but is there a way wherein if i click on the 2nd or 1st tab it would bring me back to the original view ? its like having a home tab( which shows the original view) included on one of the tabbar. the home view if showed should not have or hide the tab bar

its ok now i used self.tabBarController.selectedIndex to change it . Thanks Brix!
