Sending/Receiving video over wifi

Dear all
I plan to develop an app which is able to send/receive video over wifi, I'm stuck on how to start.
I was wondering if anyone of you guys knows an open source library or a public class that could help me to encode/decode video to the correct format so I can send/receive them over wifi.

Also I have some questions ..
1) Any input about the class to use would be appreciated ?
2) Is this authorized or rejected by Apple ?
3) What is the max directory size available for an app ? in other words, am I able to save in realtime the video received over wifi ?
4) what is the minimal bitrate to reach a good video/audio quality ?

1. the standard movie player supports streaming video, just google for some MPMoviePlayer tutorials.
2. Many apps use it that are currently on the AppStore.
3. You can save it, but not in real time. A solution would be to download the video first, then play it locally, rather than trying to stream it.
4. No idea.
