Can you mix application types?

I want an application that has elements of View Based and Navigation based? Is it possible to mix them? If so how? I want it to start out with a View and then hen I click a button it goes to a Table View list...

thoose are just presets. you can make a new view and make it navagation based. custom or preset.

Im sure you can find some tutorials on google. or even here!
