iPhone icons Rearrange functions
I have come across that facebook app has the icon rearrange feature just like the feature on iphone home screen
if you dont know what im talking about see the following picture.
Does anyone have any idea how they did it? Im pretty sure there must be a function in the SDK the allows us to perform tasks like this.
I would love to learn how they did it...
and also, how do i generate "X" button next to it?

You'll have to build your own. I'm pretty sure those are UIButtons and you can use core animation to animate them by wobbling them about. The 'x' button is also another image.

pic1

Thanks for the feedbacks.
so we had to manually animate the buttons?! its gonna be a big job doing that...doh!
also, facebook allows you to rearrange the icon by dragging. how did the grid works?
did they manually do that as well? by checking touch.x touch.y?

No, you have to animate the buttons..
I believe there was a tutorial around here somewhere...
Create a CGAffineTransform and rotate the buttons a random number of degrees like
So you can either get a negative or positive number, then call the function using an NSTimer.
