Default setIdleTimerDisabled not working?

Anyone else find that setIdleTimerDisabled seems to be working sporadically?

I have an application that I set to setIdleTimerDisabled:YES and it will still dim the screen and go to sleep.

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks!

Dan

It seems to work OK for me. What do you mean, "sporadically"? How often does it fail to keep the phone alive?

Sporadically meaning I can't put my finger on it. I can go from my house to work in the morning which is a 30 minute drive and it will never sleep, and yet on my way home I can pull out of the parking lot and 5 minutes later running the same app, it dims and goes to sleep. (and it does not just do this in the eve vs the morning).

Not sure if it is set to YES how it is still going to sleep.

I have a similar app that has setIdleTimerDisabled = YES. It all works fine until I receive a Text Message or Calendar Event Reminder (or presumably any other system alert). The screen stays on for about another 5 to 10 minutes then dims and then locks. Could this be what you are experiencing?

Does anyone know how to stop alerts from doing this?
