From NSString to Double

I've two numbers into two UITextField, and I want to sum their:

Double result;

result = textfield1.text + textfield2.text;

But I've a casting error.

Any help?

actually 'doubleValue' is a property of NSString so try something like this...

result = [textfield1.text doubleValue] + [textfield2.text doubleValue];

I tryed this to, with XCode 3.1 but it gave me an error: "incompatible types in assignment"
