Country Code for tel Link

Greetings,

I'm trying to have my app call this number using a tel link as so:

tel:+64-6-873-5555

The '+' sign is not being dialed when the link is clicked, though. Is there something special I have to do?

I read an article somewhere,it said the URL(tel://) doesn't work on OS 3.0
maybe that's the issue.
the tel country code always is "+" or "0",for example,in China,it can be +86 or 086

Thanks for the reply.

The tel link is working for this application, as the number is dialed. It's just that the '+' is not dialed first, so the result is incorrect.

Do you have to do anything special to get the '+' to be dialed?
