Inputting locations for Google Maps

My app developer is telling me that I need to give him the longitude and latitude of all the locations that I want to have on my Google Map for my iPhone app.

I want to confirm that this is the best way to input. Does anyone have a better way?

I know where he's coming from - it's the easiest way for him. You could also use a tool such as Google Earth to plot the waypoints on a map, then export this list as a kmz file, which he may be able to read.
