Any luck using PLCameraController in 3.0?

Hi,

I've got a handy little app I wrote for taking time-lapse sets of photos using the camera. It's using PLCameraController for direct access to the camera (e.g. using startCapture and then saving the raw data to files).

Unfortunately, this app does nothing in 3.0 – I've included the 3.0 version of the PhotoLibrary.framework and used an updated header for the new 3.0 framework, but no luck.

Has anyone else had any success?

Forget it. Even if it works, it will get rejected.

Thanks, but this is a little app just for my own use — I've got no plans whatsoever to submit it to the App Store

Then you are truly on your own.

You may find some luck if you ask in a jailbreak development forum. I doubt you will find anyone here who has hacked into PLCameraController.

Have the same issue. My app was using PLCameraController to initialize the camera stream. After switching on 3.0 no preview any longer. If you have a solution, please share!
