Default Can't install official OS3 release with OS3 GM seed installed

Okay, so I just updated my iPhone 3G to OS3 when Apple officially releases it. Then I connect my 2nd-gen iPod touch and hoping to update it to official OS3 release.

However, since I have installed OS 3 GM seed last week, now iTunes says my iPod touch already has the latest OS...

So to thought who have installed OS 3 GM seed, how do you go about updating to its official OS3 release?

Thanks

It doesn't seem like it. Reading through several of the feature lists being floated around today as people are talking publicly about the new features, there are several small things being pointed out (Percentage Battery indicator, anit-phishing setting, etc) that aren't in the GM build, but evidently are in the publicly released version.

Default Those features are for iphone 3gs

What you are looking for are features with the iphone 3gs model only.

Fair enough, but that seems a bit weird that something like anti-phishing in Mobile Safari would be 3GS (or even 3G) only. But if that's the case, then that would explain the discrepancy.

Thanks.

Default mms camera question.

I understand that att has to get this set up before it works, but is the camera there already with the 3.0 update? I don't see the camera to take a picture for the mms. Any help would be great.

I had a similar problem (I was running beta 5 and hadn't got round to GM yet :-S).

You can force an update by putting your phone in recovery mode. I dragged together some tips from the Apple forums and my own experiences here:
iPhone Developers: How to Force an Update to iPhone OS 3.0 from Beta/GM | The Other Tom Elliott

Not sure exactly what's different between GM and release, but better safe than sorry

Did the GM seed ever check that you were a developer before activating the phone?
