Spliting up a UIImage
I have a large UIImage and I was wondering if it is possible to use code to split that UIImage into an array of smaller UIImages?
What are the functions and methods that I should use for this?

Yes you can..very common for games to do this. The google map app also does it. Your best bet for a better understanding is to pick up a good book on creating iphone or cocoa games. They will certainly cover it. To do it you will be using CGContextRef, CGContextClipToRect, and CGContextDrawTiledImage.
