UIWebView AutoFill
Hey there,
I've developed a third party browser (fgBrowser) because I like my way of bookmarking and fullscreen mode. Now with 3.0 the original Safari is capable of "AutoFill". But in the UIWebView component the "AutoFill" button is always grayed out. I've didn't find anything in the iPhone reference which shows me how to enable this feature for my third party browser.
Another general problem with 3.0 safari AND UIWebView are direkt .mp4 (video) links. They will just not open via a link. If you put them in the adressbar they will work. Hope this is a bug of the BETA.
So if anyone got a hint on this topic please post :-)
nice greets,
woddy

any success?
Did u ever resolve the autofill button question? I would love to figure out how to use it and what is does. I am about to try to write a java script to capture user ID and password info for an autofill capability in an instance of UIWebView. I don't know if I will be successful but perhaps I don't need to if the autofill button actually does something. I haven't seen it in action in safari either.

I second this..
Has anyone found a solution?
Seems a little odd to not make the autofill functionality open to developers.

I'd love to see this available too. The annoying thing is that the AutoFill button still appears on the top bar of the onscreen keyboard, even though there seems to be no way to enable it for arbitrary UIWebViews.
And just in case anyone isn't already aware, AutoFill functionality also has to be manually switched on for Safari by the end user in:
Settings > Safari > AutoFill
I think it's also strange that AutoFill is off by default. This limits its potential usefulness for developers even if we could turn it on for our arbitrary UIWebViews.

Hide the toolbar
Is it possible to at least hide the autoFill toolbar, its occupying precious screen space?
