Signature Capture

Hi ,

I am developing an iPhone application in which I have a requirement for capturing user signature (signed using stylus) and saving the signature in local storage.

Can somebody give some inputs on how we can implement this using iPhone SDK/ Cocoa? Should we capture individual (x,y) coordinates? OR is there any image capture controls readily available?

It's very easy to take a screenshot of the screen and save it.

No..not at all...

My UI has several text boxes and buttons. One of the control is a rectangualr area where a user can put his signature using the iPhone stlylus. The application should be able to capture all the information that user entered along with the his signature and save it in SQL Lite DB.

I am not sure of how can I capture the signature...Can we capture it as an image? Do we need to capture it pixel by pixel?

There seems to be some information here (http://www.iphonedevsdk.com/forum/ip...tically-2.html) about taking a screenshot programatically.

Presumably once you have saved it you can trim it to a known bounding box containing the signature.

Currently, my project required capturing signature from iPhone screen. We can capture (X,Y) coordinate from the screen. can we capture pen pressure and pen angle from the screen or stylus? you see the current iPhone screen are capacitive screen, which is not pressure sensitive.

any idea?
