Debugger doesn't show anything

I have set breakpoints, and tried Run>Debug, and Build and Debug, but nothing shows up in the Debugger window, and execution never pauses at breakpoints. In the Debugger window it just says "No Editor" in the bottom window. Am I doing something wrong? How do you run the debugger?

i just run the debugger by selecting Run>Debug as you described above. Then, to view the debugger window, i select Run>Debugger.

does your app run without the debugger? what does the gdb console output when you run your app?

The app runs fine, and the console displays whatever I put in NSLog...

But I want to be able to check the value of variables as I step through the code. Seems like that should be easy to do.

that is odd... i have not encounted this before...

are the breakpoint tags light blue or dark blue?

they are dark or light, depending on how many times I click on them.
