Default Restricting app to WiFi only?

Hey there,

So Apple finally sorted it's way through to my app, and it got rejected because it can stream data over cell data, which I hadn't released was against their rules (Despite some apps already do this )

Anyone know how to figure out when the user is on WiFi only? I only need the bool part, not the full if statement and stuff, just the function that returns either yes, or no.

Thanks and Regards,
Tom

I don't think it's quite that simple. Look at the "Reachability" sample code on the Apple Dev site.

I've got the same question, I want to restrict my app to wifi only,
or possibly give a msg to my user, "switch to wifi to avoid roaming costs"
type thing...

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, ...I'm checking the iphone site now..

Hi All,

We can restrict App to use WiFi only by using Reachability class (Reachability).

Before calling any Http request through our app, we can check for the network, if network is using WiFi only then application will send the request otherwise not (Show message to user).

For this, application should have only one class/method which will do call to "NSURLConnection sendSynchronousRequest" function.

I hope this will help.
