Default Tinting an image?

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody knew if it was possible to tint an image to be loaded into a UIImage. I've been looking through the docs and can't see anything obvious, although there are some underlying CGImage routines with color spaces that might fit the bill. Is there anything higher level or should I start playing with those lower level routines?

My alternative is to create pre-tinted images but I'm hoping that I can do without that to give me the possibility of more random variations.

Cheers,

Gareth

Not sure if it's exactly what you wanted, but if the grey image is multiplied by a solid colour it should effectively change its hue (intensity as well as the colour will probably not be normalised). Using Core Graphics you should be able to find an appropriate compositing method to apply this.
