Default Custom UITableViewCell color issue

Hi
I have a custom table view cell. I wanted to change the background color of the cell. I was able to do it for my cell except for the "disclosure indicator", its background appears as white always.... any idea how to change the background color of disclosure indicator to any desired color?

I found the answer here how-to-customize-the-background-color-of-a-uitableviewcell but one more problem remains, when i change the table style to grouped, I am not getting the curved edges.... any idea how to solve this??

it's annoying but you have to actually photoshop the entire cell out as the rounded edges are not frames but just part of the way the cell is drawn.
