Default iPhone Camera access

Hi,

Is there any framework or API using which I can access iPhone camera?

I want to take pictures and create video stream out of it. I know about PLCameraController class of photo library. But capturePhoto method of this class is very slow and results in very low frame rate.

Is there any other way to access/read images from iPhone camera?

Hi,

There is no authentic way to access the camera in iPhone SDK. But if we jailbreak the iPhone then we can access the camera.

In jail broken solution, we get the access to camera but we don't get control on start and end of video frames.

Apple does not accept jail broken solutions. As per APPLE, jail breaking is illegal.

Hi,

You need an instance of UIImagePickerController. Check out this article:

Best,
