Cool Graphics specs??

I am a graphic designer wanting to get into creating graphics for iPhone apps. Are there specific requirements for sizing, etc...
Where can I find specs?
Any developers need high quality graphics?
Thanks for your help!

The screen size is 320 x 480 when held in portrait (default) position. The top 20 pixels are usually taken up by the status bar, unless disabled (usually only done for games.) Most graphics are saved as 24-bit png. Buttons and clickable areas should be no smaller than 40x40 pixels.

You have all the specs including screen, icon sizes etc in the Human Interface Guidelines in the documentation from Apple.

EDIT: Here's the specific article on that http://developer.apple.com/library/i...onsImages.html

But if you are serious about design for iPhone, I strongly recommend reading the entire HIG.
