Default programatically listing contents of camera roll

Hello,
I'm currently working on an application, where I would like to embed some of the functionality in the camera roll viewer. Essentially, I'm using the built in images picker, and I can get an image and display it however what I want to do is figure out where I am in the camera roll and give my users the ability to got to the next/previous image or even delete the image they are viewing.

thank you in an advance.

There is nothing in the API for doing what you want.

Default You can now - using ALAssetsLibrary

As of iOS 4.0 you can do so using the ALAssetsLibrary:

A piece of advice:

Avoid absolute statements like that unless you are absolutely positive of the truth of your statement. Even then, it pays to hedge a little.

"I don't think there is an API for that."

The iOS SDK is an incredibly rich, complex thing. I've been working on it nearly full time since it came out, and I don't know much about over half of the frameworks in the OS. I think it's frankly beyond any one person to know the whole thing inside-out.

I used to know every memory address on my Apple II, and every byte of the ROMs, down to the character dot matrix display code. Those days are long, long gone.
