Switch from a tabBar + navBar View to a totaly new one

Hello guys

Im working on a little app witch mainly contains a tabBar with navBars in each tabBarItem. At one point, I want the tabBar and the navBar to disappear completely. How can I move to a View witch has nothing to do with the navigationController Stack.

Might be a simple question, but I tried for a while now without success.

You can use the presentModalViewController to slide up a new view from a totally different xib/nib file.
