Default Voice Recognition

Has anyone out there looked into how hard it would be to code some voice recognition software in XCode? Does the SDK support it?

What do you mean by "does the SDK support it"?

It doesn't support voice recognition out-of-the-box. If you 've got voice recognition code you can build it using Xcode.

I figured out to use the NSVoiceRecognizer, but Xcode doesn't support it.

Got to roll your own FFT analysis code, unfortunately.

Hi,

How did you manage to add voice recognition to your project?

I also want to use voice recognition in my application. I just want to compare the recorded voice with already saved sound files for similarity. I was searching for some accoustic fingerprinting open source code. Will that help? Or any other open source project available for this?

Why don't you roll out your own solution ? While it probably wouldn't be as complex and accurate as Apple's voice recognition in Mac OS X I think its possible to roll out a moderately good solution. Look into Audio Queue Services and maybe read some books on the topic of Signal Processing and audio analysis. Surely it can be done.

Has anyone rolled their own yet? I would like to but I just don't have the time at the moment; if any one feels like beating me to the bunch that would awesome.

I wonder if there's anyway to tap into the voice command on the 3gs, or at least get access to smoe sort of API for it.

Have you guys seen this....
Sensory Releases Speech Recognition Development Kit for iPhone

At $2000 for the SDK, depending on what your return might be, this might be worth the cost.
