is it possible to use the sdk to manipulate the sound file?

Like creating Chipmunk like sounds of existing voices?

Where do I have to look for things like that?

Using Cocos2D's simpleAudioEngine, you can set the Pitch, pan, and gain of your audio files:

[[SimpleAudioEngine sharedEngine] playEffect:GARDEN_FIRE pitch:1.0f pan:0.0f gain:1.0f];
