If you are a licensed Apple iOS developer, you can install and run apps on your devices, and on around 100 others using a developer certificate. Those builds need to be re-issued every 3 months or so.

You can also build "ad hoc distribution" builds that let you distribute to a limited number of outsiders. I think ad hoc builds are good for a year, but I'm less sure of that.

I can't possibly describe all the steps involved in creating digitally signed apps that will run on devices. Its a complex, confusing process, and has changed half-a-dozen times since apple first created the developer program.

I have to wade through Apple's documentation every time I want to submit a new app and struggle to figure out how it works. I'm not going to be able to explain it in enough detail in a forum post for you to be able to follow it.

The good news is that Apple's tools and documentation have both gotten much, much better since the beginning.

You can also build apps that will run on jailbroken devices, but I don't know anything about that process.

Check out our apps in the Apple App store

Check out this password generator app that shows various techniques including using a data container singleton object to share data between objects in your project.

See this tutorial on using UIView animations and layer animations:

See this thread on generating random, non-repeating text

Check out a very cool Macintosh Kaleidoscopes app called ScopeWorks that we released to the Mac App store.

Huh? What does your post have to do with this thread?
