Where are embedded apps in IPhone 4

I am trying to determine where what I refer to as the 16 embedded apps such as Stocks, Weather, Compass, Notes, Calendar, Clock etc. that can not be deleted as the other apps can reside in the phone.
The reason is that I have a person who is trying to write an app. to be able to remove some of these embedded apps an owner does not want for any number of reasons, and then be able to restore them later if they desire.
Obvisously to do so first it must be determined where they are on the phone hardware so the program can be written to access, remove and restore them.
Any advice on this will be greatly appreciated.

They are located in /private/var/stash/Applications."RandomString"
Of course you can only access this in a jailbroken phone. I believe there is some setting that "hides" an app, you could try that instead of removing stock apps.
