Hi,

I want to develop a security application for iPhone. my problem is to make a continuous sound when a alert key is pressed. that sound shouldn't be control using volume button. Also wen the alarm is ringing if the app is closed the alarm should not be closed.. thats is if alarm is ringing and application is closed it should reopen the alarm application. Please help me to resolve these two issues.

I dont believe that you can ovveride the volume control but I am not 100% on that. Depending on which framework you use to play the sound, you might be able. As far as not being able to exit the app, this is impossible. Apple would never allow a dev to make an app that automatically reopened. How would you ever stop it?

This could probly be done with a jail broken device.

I've seen an app before that would not close when you press the "Home" button on the device, so I assume you could go this route rather than trying to make the app automatically reopen.

However, I have no idea how to do it, nor do I recommend jailbreaking your device
