Play music while application is locked

I want to play the music continuously in through my application whether the ipod /iphone locked the screen or screen is not locked.

No reply means what ? isnt any solution for playing sound when application is locked?

As far as I know, locking the screen will terminate the app.
Also, try to be a bit more patient.

Check out this book from Apress. Chapter six outlines the development of the pandora player and it specifically talks about the code needed to ensure the device does not go to sleep so music can keep playing as you have asked for. The source code is free from this link as well. Hope this helps!

you need to set the audio session category to media playback and set it to allow mixing if you want to play both ipod and application music.
