Job Description:
Seeking an iOS developer to support the Lost Person Finder (LPF) project to put in place systems and procedures to handle emergencies. The LPF is a system to address a common problem in such situations, the search for and finding friends and relatives whose whereabouts are unknown. The required software functionality includes: posting cell phone pictures to a database, extracting essential and abbreviated patient data from a database, matching queries to this data, displaying pictures and essential patient data on the Web and on notification wall displays.
Required Skills:
Knowledge and experience in PHP code base used for Web development tasks.
Demonstrable experience with programming for mobile/handheld devices iOS (required), Android (required), Actionscript/Flex (desired), mobile Web programming (desired)
Experience with Web-application programming in both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience with extension and customization of open source software.
Ability to develop interfaces to systems through loosely-coupled methods like SOAP, RSS/Atom feeds, email, or instant messaging.
Demonstrable experience with dynamic Web GUI layout algorithms, e.g., in Flash or JavaScript.
Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge and experience in HTML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX for client-side Web programming (if client code to be built).
Demonstrable experience with Web page layout for small (handheld), medium, and large screens.
Demonstrable experience and skills in at least three of the following: SOLR, Drupal, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Java, JavaScript, and AJAX.
Education/Certifications:
M.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline with three (3) years of relevant experience, or B.S. with five (5) years of relevant experience.
