Our client is looking for a passionate developer to help lead on a project to produce a new version of the media player for Mac OS X. We are looking for a passionate developer to help create a cloud services platform that enables users to enjoy their personal media anywhere.

As a member of the Media team you will be working with a variety of technologies to create a Mac OS X based version of the player. The ideal candidate will have the ability to define the software architecture and lead on all phases of development – with a particular emphasis on creating the front-end, user-facing UI elements. You will work closely with our product, design, and engineering teams to design, implement and refine the software program.

Besides coding, you will be responsible for assisting with documentation, building test plans, debugging software, providing design input, and helping in every way to ensure the successful rollout of each phase of the project.

We are seeking a software engineer to work with the team that is revitalizing the desktop media player, building powerful web services and innovating on new mobile platforms. We’re looking for someone who can work in a fast paced, dynamic environment, and who is passionate about building great products that millions of people use every day.

Job Requirements:

4+ years of experience in software development
3+ years experience and be fluent in Cocoa framework & Objective C Should have 2+ years programming experience using C++
Proven technical leadership skills architecting and building user-facing designs
Ability to ensure user interface reflects user and design requirements.
Self-motivated and able to work without hand-holding.
An excellent problem-solver.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience developing digital media applications is a plus.
Experience integrating desktop applications with cloud services and mobile
A working knowledge of media players -- audio/video codecs, music oriented metadata
Open source development experience a plus
Experience with multi-language localization and global deployment
