iPhone Blog Application: Looking for Dev

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a developer who would be able to work with us to make an app that would hook into our website (which currently uses a wordpress back-end).

We have the layout and everything already planned, my website just has no time to develop it ourselves. So, we're trying to look for an independent developer looking for a job (since the app would feed a niche market).

Quick Summary:
- Blog App that hooks into our wordpress and centova backend on our website to make auto updates to the app
- Similar layout/style to the Joystiq App (don't worry, we got nothing to do with video games :P)

While most of the required information is on the RSS feed, the RSS feed alone will not be sufficient enough to gather all the information the way wordpress (and my site) is integrated with it.

There are certain PHP values from the websites code that will need to be integrated into the website to properly pull up the information.

For example, our website is based upon independent musicians and their music. At the top of each artist page, we have fields that give a general snap-shot of the artist. These variables are not found in the RSS feed.

To clarify, from my knowledge, it would be safe to recommend the following skill assets for the developer:

- Adequate level of PHP knowledge (since the PHP variables differentiate artists in wordpress)
- Adequate understanding of wordpress (to understand how to draw information from certain categories)
- Knowledge on how to take a stream link (we stream internet radio) and integrate it nicely into an application on a wifi connection only.

We have a graphics designer to help any developer out, we just don't have time to develop the app ourselves.

If you need anymore information about the project, or if you think you are capable of it. Feel free to message me for more information (with some examples of past-work if able).

We are not very lenient on if you have past work, but we would ask to show us an alpha draft of the app to prove to us if you can do it. We would be totally willing to give a new developer a chance (because new artists is entirely what the website is based upon).
