My friend and I have been working on an idea for a web service for over a year now that revolves around recommendations. You can see the rundown of our project at
rcmnd -- IndieGoGo (we are currently crowd funding some money through indieGoGo, we post that link simply because it's a good summary of our product, not because we are trolling here for donations).
We are currently searching for a partner to bring on board with us (two founders). While we have some technical expertise, we lack the experience and know how to execute fully on our idea. How would this go down? We are looking for someone that can help us build/develop a simplified iPhone prototype of our service over the next few months. At that time, we will be actively pursuing meetings with VCs (which you would be expected to be involved with), with the goal of raising money to turn our idea into a full business. Assuming that happens, you would be given an as yet to be determined equity share in the company, as well as a paid position, something along the lines of CTO.
We are looking for someone that is highly motivated, as well as excited about our project. Experience in iPhone development and other mobile devices, databases and other web coding languages is a must. We really want to find someone that is highly experienced and talented (i.e. live projects, published apps, etc.), that also has an eye for design and emerging technologies/services (can execute on multiple fronts, i.e. jack of all trades), and can commit to some serious time and involvement.
We feel we have a great opportunity here for the right person. Please check out the above link, and feel free to send any questions or comments you might have to [partner at rcmnd dot com]. We look forward to talking with you! We would of course ideally be looking for someone in the Los Angeles area (I currently live in Rancho Cucamonga CA), and would want to Skype and meet in person eventually too. Cheers.
