Hi all,
We're in need of a web developer for a company called Taggstr. We are making what is essentially a location based service focused on building communities around college campuses. We're starting out at UC Berkeley, UC Davis, and Tufts University in Boston, MA. The job description is the following:
We are a bunch of young guys (some of us still in college) that are trying to create a mobile application to connect colleges, students, and the surrounding venues to offer some crazy good deals. We’re hard working and determined to make Taggstr a success.
What you'll be doing:
• Working with a small team of developers to iterate and optimize the Taggstr website and web-application.
• Learning fast and on the fly, we like to try new things and to leverage the latest API’s so you will be too.
• Integrating with web API’s - our apps are focused on tying Taggstr services into Facebook, Twitter, and many other API’s.
• Work and integrate with a highly agile backend server.
• Working with a fast-moving and focused team – we iterate quickly and come up with new things daily that need to be implemented ASAP.
What you need to know:
• You need to have some sweet web development skills in Javascript, CSS, and PHP, and have some serious previous experience.
• All the above named languages/frameworks of course
• Strong interaction and design sense
Most importantly you need to show us what you have worked on in the past, let us check it out and see what you can do.
Location: Strong preference for Bay Area located candidates who can either drive or take CalTrain to get to the office.
Compensation: We can give out early-stage equity as well as a convertible note. It depends on your preference. We need someone who knows what it takes to build a startup in the beginning and understands the risk/reward relation that is involved with such a venture. Preferably, we want someone who wants to be with us for the long run.
Check out the taggstr application on the app store!
