I noticed a dramatic drop of my sales in the last three days, around - 70-50% of the average sales figure a day, can anybody confirm this ???
Does anybody know the reason, maybe iTunes maintenance ??
cheers

Yes, we have seen the same thing. However, I concluded that this was due to our App life cycle and not part of a trend. It would be interesting if this was due to other factors of course, but I doubt it.
There is no average IMHO. It depends on the App and what kind of traction it gets. We had some insane traction with this one without any promotion, and that is declining now. I see that as normal rather than a temporary problem with the App Store.
It may well be the same thing is happening to your App; it has saturated the audience exposed to it through the App Store and is dropping due to normal decrease in demand (or bad reviews).
Not much to do about that other than improve the App and market it.
But perhaps I'm wrong and there has been something going on the last few days. If so, I'd be very interested to hear from others.
My AD revenue dropped, my android revenue dropped significantly and also the appstore sales are lower, although the up and down on the appstore still can be seen as normal among my apps.
Yup, sales have been sucky since Monday, and I also have several apps. Pretty much dropping across the board, without a significant drop in rankings. (Which to me means the whole market must be dropping)
Speaking of Andriod apps, that market has crashed & burned since the first of the year. Lots of cancellations AND user complaints that apps either won't download or open. I Have no idea what's going on there. (Luckily, android sales have never been over 10% of my revenue stream)

In my experience, buyers can't download / open the app until their credit card was authorized by Google. It can last 6 hours, but I have seen orders beeing processed over 24 hours too.
I always tell my customers to be patient and recheck after 6 hours.
My sales have been about the same on a steady uptrend but I think thats because baseball is starting. Nothing like hitting whats hot in sports #114 lol.
Hey big if you read this thread how many sales do you get on top ten for sports on week and weekends?
I'm glad I'm not alone - an ipa app pack would not effect this at all, users who jailbreak their iOS device and use ipa's, wouldn't have bought this apps anyway....
For those having a drop in sales, have you changed your price or iTunes Meta data recently?
I've heard of people getting "Being Modified" messages when trying to purchase. It's also brought up in another thread on this board.
Could be because of that bug that sales have dropped. For the record I made a change on the 1st, and my sales did drop. Setting things back didn't help, and only today's numbers (Yesterday) things seem to be getting back to normal.
low sales again yesterday for me (friday) -50 % and itc says in comparison to the last week -81,3 % - damn, every time they play around with iTunes this thing has happened.....hope sales raise again, or....
Seems normally to me... iTunes lags like a bitch though
Yeah they've changed something in itunes on the device, you may notice the app name on the app info page is no longer resized to fit the available space, and the graphic used for the stars is different. It runs slowly too.
I guess potential customers get bored of waiting and don't bother to buy the app.
The last time they made changes that looked like this it was no longer possible to buy apps on devices running 3.x, they seemed to roll them back soon after.
It seems they neglected to do any testing this time as well.
