what insane client wants to have a flashlight on the appstore?
I am curious what apple would say, if I would update one of our released games with a completely new app that happens to be a flashlight app and would change everything in its meta data from title to keywords...

I guess they will reject the update. May be politely. For the first time, may be, even without expelling from the dev program.
I've discussed this with a few other devs.
One told me that Apple has rejected his update like that, another told that his app did came through (hence with a trick when app called home for a command - if it should become flashlight).
You don't usually eat with the swiss army knife, do you?
Actually if bundle with let's say battery meter it could be quite useful and not "another flashlight app".
Do you need that iPhone 4S flashlight or just-white-blank-screen flashlight?

I would rather advice to look on the appstore for flashlight apps. Look at the app list site of each developer and if one has only few/crap apps, write them directly with your offer.
