Hey everyone, not sure if anyone can help but its worth a shot.
I'm thinking of selling my Developer Account, plus my ad network accounts but have a few problems, that I think may stop it from them being sold.
A.) Is the sale of a developer account even allowed?
B.) This 'project' has been a hobby that has paid me a bit for my work, because of this I don't have proper accounts and so the £4k income over the past 3 years cannot be proven with solid accounts, which I think people will be very skeptical of.
C.) Due to my bag with my laptop and backups being stolen a while ago, I only have the source code of a few apps I have developed, which I think people will see as a negative, especially as one of those apps has made me the most money.
Basically with those negatives in place, would people still purchase that and what price should I ask for, I personally think £6-8k based on the £4k income in previous years, but I may be aiming too high.
Based on you making 4,000 in THREE years, there's no way anyone will give you 6-8 lol. To be honest with you your account is fairly worthless as an "item" for sale. Keep it and just enjoy the little money you get

They are not brilliant, but do bring in $70-$100 p/m through various ad networks. I have the source code for Out That Fire and Bash Bieber, I don't have the source code to iGuess, but a different version that I built after losing the original copy
Download Numbers Wise, the best I can do:
Out That Fire ~ 49,500/50,000-ish, I say roughly due to some download numbers are shown for total downloads and not separate update downloads.
iGuess ~ 25,000-ish, Again due to the total downloads not separate update downloads
X Project Lite ~ 60,000-ish, same reason
Bash Bieber, just shy of 12,000 downloads in 4 months
All these apps have Admob intergrated and could just be a brilliant way to use house ads to promote other apps, especially when there is the potential of 120,000 people to reach with house ads
To sell an acc you need to upgrade it to company and then sell one. Company with sutable jurisdiction will be around 2.5-3k USD (and around $2k yearly expenses). Your account current income doesn't cover these expenses in a relatively short term.

I don't understand why you cannot state the exact numbers of downloads of your apps, as they are easy to lookup in ITC (based on the "type" codes you can perfectly tell the difference between downloads and updates).

Because those apps were available on cydia long before I managed to scrimp and save for a developer account, being a paper boy at the time meant this was the best, viable, option to generate some cash at the time. Thus the download numbers are bunched up together as total downloads, rather than downloads and updates

Are you looking to only sell the entire account, or would you also consider selling individual apps?
Are you looking to only sell the entire account, or would you also consider selling individual apps?
I Probably would sell individual apps, but think there is more value in selling them with the revenue streams set in place and thus all the accounts that they have been set up with, plus, as mentioned before, I don't have the source code to a couple of apps
For the ones you do have the source code to, you may want to try to reach out to Apptopia.com. You may get a higher return than you would other ways. I know that the founder, Jon, would be glad to chat with you for a bit to figure things out if you're unsure.
