Best way to advertise apps inside other apps

I don't advertise my apps inside other apps....how should I go about this?

In all my apps I display a ad at startup that shows screenshots of one of my other apps, along with text description and a link to the app store.
Only a small % of people click on it, but it works, gave me a noticeable growth in six months. Also the list of ads is fetched from my server, so anytime I can add new releases to the list and all instaled apps will show it

Nice implementation Rafaello, you do that on paid, or free apps? Does it ALWAYS show at startup?

Do you show a uiWebView, that pulls an html from your server?

What if the user is not connected to the internet?

Only in free apps, and yes, a html witu a uiWebView would be a good solution for this. In my case since none of my applications are written in Objective-C, I use a custom solution that renders the ad with openGL. If internet is not available, it just skips the ad and starts up the app.

what are you using to write your apps?

You can set up a serverbased backend system or you can simply outsource it to pages like Parse. https://www.parse.com/

From there you can change splashscreen/nag and promote your other apps just as you want it.
